Objectives of Role
- The role is responsible for ensuring the quality of the software developed for Energin and its partners
- You will work with the development team and business stakeholders to define the system requirement and establish the test plan to make sure defects are detected and fixed in accordance to agreed times and schedules
Main Responsibilities
- Interface with clients or business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
- Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases, scripts and other testing scenarios base on the requirements
- Estimates, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Prepare and manage test environments
- Execute tests
- Document test results
- Communicates test results with the development team
- Analyze the test results and assists the development team in providing solutions to issues
- Conduct defects management by determining the severity and priority of the defects
- Track the progress of defects
- Investigates the causes of defects and recommend solutions to prevent the issue from recurring
- Interface with users during user acceptance tests
- Performs stress and load testing when necessary
- Ensures testing is done timely according to the Agile-scrum development cycle
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and techniques
Required Skills
- Familiar with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other defect management software
- Familiar with automated testing tools like Selenium, Jenkins, etc.
- Familiar with writing test scripts for automated testing
- Familiar with basic SQL query commands and scripting to validate data
- Familiar with multi-browser testing
- Self-learner and independent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar products
- Strong time, interpersonal, and people skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or equivalent technical discipline and experience
- Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in software testing of moderate to advance complex web applications working for a reputable multinational company
- Experience testing APIs
- Experience in various testing discipline – functional, regression, stress/load, automated testing, etc.
- Experience in Agile scrum development cycle
- Experience with security testing is a plus
- Experience with SoapUI and/or JMEter for testing services is a plus
- Must be willing to work during Australian business hours
